Refund Policy
As an EU consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal with no reason required. Below: the details, exceptions and form.

1. Your 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer based in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a service contract with Brighter within 14 calendar days from the day the contract is concluded, without giving any reason and without paying any penalty (Directive 2011/83/EU, Slovak Act No. 102/2014 Coll.).
2. How to exercise the right
To withdraw, send an unambiguous declaration before the 14-day window expires:
- By email to brighter@brighter-studio.com, with subject “Withdrawal — [order number]”

4. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
Under Art. 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU and §7(6) of Slovak Act 102/2014, the right to withdraw does not apply to:
- Services that have been fully performed with your prior express consent and acknowledgement that you will lose the right of withdrawal once we have fully performed.
- Digital content (e.g. final design files, datasets, reports) delivered other than on a tangible medium, where performance has begun with your prior express consent and acknowledgement.
- Custom services made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
At checkout you will be asked to confirm whether you want delivery to start immediately within the 14-day period. If you confirm, the exceptions above may apply. If you do not, delivery starts on day 15.
5. How we refund you
We refund all payments received from you (excluding any supplementary delivery costs you chose if applicable) without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days after the day we receive your withdrawal notice. We use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction; no fees will be charged.
If we already started performing the service within the 14-day window with your express consent, you must pay a proportional amount for what has been provided up to the moment of withdrawal.
6. Complaints about defective work
Even outside the 14-day withdrawal window, you have warranty rights if the delivered service does not match the agreed scope. Send a complaint to brighter@brighter-studio.com within 14 days of delivery with:
- Order number
- Clear description of the defect
- Screenshots or examples where relevant
- Your preferred remedy (re-work, partial refund, full refund)
We acknowledge receipt within 3 business days and resolve the complaint within 30 days at the latest, per §18 of Act No. 250/2007 Coll. on Consumer Protection.
7. Online dispute resolution
If we cannot resolve a dispute amicably, EU consumers may use the online dispute resolution platform of the European Commission:

The competent Slovak authority for non-financial consumer complaints is the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia): soi.sk.
